A Monday with Dad

After some appts. for Tyler this morning, we got to spend all afternoon with Dad, who got off at 3am this morning, so he didn't have to sleep all day long, just all morning! Last night was his last night shift of his ED rotation, and we are all excited!! Went to the zoo and then FHE tonight, played some games as a family. (Sorry, the pictures are all mixed.)

And Blake's new trick...climbing onto the rocking chair by himself. A climber? We shall see.

zoo with the girls

Lauren and I met at the zoo. We had such a great time catching up. I have missed Lauren. Last year was our travel year, and this year is theirs, so I haven't gotten to get together with her as much this year. But today was so fun, to catch up and let our kids have so much fun. Jacob keeps telling me Ellie is the only one who can hold his hand.

I loved these pictures of Ellie, Jacob and Tyler together.

Zoo with Bobby and Melanie

Spent the afternoon at the zoo with Bobby and Melanie Rhodes. We missed Candi, but we had such a fun time. I love the Rhodes' kids. They are such fun, good kids. Jacob and Bobby ran around together the whole time. Bobby and Melanie were both so good with all of my kids. So glad they were able to come with us.

Jacob and Bobby were like 2 peas in a pod.

This evening Jacob spent time splashing through the puddles in our backyard.

our garden

Can't wait for these to get red!!

And a couple of pictures from our zoo trip with our friend Lyndsey Hopkins and her girls:
Jacob insisted on holding Haylee's hand.

We always have a good time at the zoo.

zoo day

Jacob unloaded my dishwasher for me this morning. Earned: 10 cents for the top rack, 10 cents for the bottom, and 5 for the silverware holder.
Had a great time at the zoo today. It is SO SO fun to have Heidi with us.

Aunt Heidi treated us each to an ice cream on the way home.

Heidi taught J and T a few swing dance moves. Our talent for FHE. Our activity was re-filling our emergency water supply.

zoo train

Brian took a couple of hours off this afternoon and came with us to the zoo. Jacob was especially excited because we got to ride the zoo train up to see the monkeys.
