Jacob playing in the backyard by himself. Took me a couple of minutes of watching him to notice that he was making a snowman and was poking sticks into the side for arms. Also one for a nose and eyes I believe. Pretty cute.

Tyler wasn't too happy with Jacob when I took this picture. I guess Jacob had put him in the laundry basket and Tyler was "down for a nap." And Tyler thought it was time to get up (and out), but Jacob insisted that naptime was not over. That's when Mommy intervened. My boys helping me with my big cooking day. 4 loaves of french bread, 4 of wheat bread, 2 lasagna's for company this weekend, pureed foods for Tyler.

Snowy weather, game time

We have gotten a ton of snow lately! Here's the mound just outside our window...made from all the snow shoveled from our driveway!

That's probably the biggest icicle I've ever seen hanging off someone's house! HUGE!

During Tyler's nap, Jacob and I have been playing a game together before we each go off for an hour of quiet time. Today we played Rummikub together (sorted the colors and numbers!) while we ate popcorn. I taught Jacob how to pick up the popcorn with his tongue and he got such a kick out of being able to do that!

Family Home Evening

I had the talent for family home evening. Jacob helped me with it. I made a track from cereal boxes, attached them at the top to the bench. Later we added books at the bottom, and even made a jump for the cars. So the car goes down the car track first, then out the end and down the cereal box track, under the bridge, and beyond.

Martin Luther King Day

For Martin Luther King day they gave free admission to the Botanical Gardens (found this out in the early afternoon). Had a buy one meal get one meal free coupon for Cici's, so went there for lunch. Jacob loved it! The next day around lunchtime he told me "mama, I need find somewhere else to eat pizza." And after that didn't work, the next day brought his dog to me and said that the dog really needed some pizza for lunch!

And the beautiful snow we've gotten in the last 24 hours. I love the snow as long as I can stay inside and just look at it!
I helped Brian clean off the car while he shoveled. Then we played in the snow together for a few minutes, and it was pretty fun.
