Martin's Cove, Wyoming

We went out on the rover again with Grandpa this morning. Saw a blow snake. Jacob and Grandpa went and checked it out.
Grandpa stopped and got a flower for each of the boys. Jacob kept losing his (or dropping it), and Grandpa would stop and get him another.

Have seen so many antelope out here. Also saw a pelicon with her baby (from a distance)...you actually couldn't even tell it was a pelican, but one of the missionaries had seen it up close and said that's what it was. Pretty cool all the animals they have out here.

Picking out a willow stick to make a walking stick out of.
Went to the shop. Grandpa shaved off the bark off the stick. Made Jacob his own walking stick.

The coil I braided together...the starts of the rag rug that Mom's been wanting to make. A time-consuming, but fun, process. It never fails that Mom teaches me how to do something new every time I come and see her.

More tractor fun.



Tonight for dinner, Jacob set the table. He started setting them out in front of each chair, but then after so many dishes, decided that one continuous circle would work best.

Fort Seminoe. It has been so neat to hear some of these stories and a little bit of the history behind a lot of these pioneer sites. There is just a special spirit here, and it is neat to see Mom and Dad's deep love for the pioneers who were on these very grounds and walked these very paths.
