Our Jeff ornament!

The turkey Jacob made and took pictures of by himself.
Tonight was the Church's Christmas party. Alana did such a good job with the decorating and getting the night ready. It was a lot of fun. They had kits for each of the kids to make their own chocolate trains. This was Tyler's

When we got home and got ready for bed, we had a birthday party for Jeff (Brian's brother who was killed in a tractor accident when he was 11--each year Mom Freeman sends a "Jeff ornament", since Jeff's bday is on December 10th, so we have a little bday party for him every year. For me this is what brings in the true spirit of Christmas is putting up our Jeff ornaments. Jacob said, "I love Jeff. I want him to live with us here, and not have to stay in heaven!" I told him he is already in heaven, and that's where we want to be. It always brings up a sweet discussion with the kids about families being forever, and that we need to be good enough in this life that we can deserve to go and live where Jeff is now. We do love Jeff, and I can't wait to meet him in the next life.

Not a great picture of the ornament, but it is made from a block of wood, hollowed out. Then inside there is a little miniature handcart hanging in the middle. One of the missionaries that worked with Mom and Dad made one for each of Mom and Dad's kids. So sweet! We love it.
