On the drive home from school, Jacob and Tyler were so excited to tell me about what Jacob had done! Jacob decided and took it upon himself to talk to his teacher, and to Tyler's, arranging for him to stay in from recess one day a week with Tyler, who has to miss recess and gym until he follows up with his neurosurgeon. I was so touched by that. What kind of a kid sacrifices his favorite time of the school day to spend time with his brother and help him not be alone! So every Wednesday for the next few weeks, Jacob and Tyler will do indoor recess while all the other kids go out and play.
