Julia & Joe's!

It had been WAY TOO LONG since we had been down to Kentucky and seen my oldest sister, Julia, and her family.
Jacob and Katie (Julia's middle child) making cupcakes.
Katie, Jacob, and Megan (Julia's oldest). Both Katie and Megan had grown up so much since we saw them last time. Megan isn't a little girl any more...she's turning into a young lady, and such a sweet and helpful and good one. It was so fun to hear her on the piano...she has gotten really good.
She helped a lot with Blake and the other boys too. Just was a peacemaker. So fun to be around her.
After Tyler scared him...Waiting for mommy to come and feed him his baby food.
Joe pulling a load around in the wagon.
My sister Rachel with her new sweet little girl, Virginia (born the end of March).

Rachel's other little girl, Savannah (2 1/2).
Tyler with Conner (Julia's little boy, just a few months younger than Tyler). He figured out how to press Tyler's buttons...he would go over and mess with the straps to Tyler's braces and Tyler would scream, Conner would leave him alone for a minute, then be right back at it. Jacob harrassed Conner too, so I think it all evened out! I don't think it's possible for boys to play together very long without fighting over a toy or something. But they sure did have a fun time playing together this weekend!

Kentucky

Spent the weekend with my 2 sisters in Kentucky. This was the project for Saturday...making a pond. All of us hung around and watched while Brian and Joe did all the hard part. Joe had already dug out quite a bit of hole for it, but Brian got to help him quite a bit, which was really fun for him. We had such a good trip and good visit with Joe and Julia and Rachel and Scott and their kids! So nice to see family.
Diggin the hole. Conner trying to help. (His version of help was trying to see what he could throw into the big hole.)

They have a huge front and back yard. Jacob spent almost all of his time outside, just running around...up and down the hill and around and around.
Julia's oldest girl, Megan. She was SUCH a good helper all weekend. She is so sweet and always looking for ways to help every time we go down there. We love her!

Julia and Joe's youngest...Conner. He was so fun to watch...always looking for something to get into!

Jacob bringing flowers for me, Julia, Rachel and Tyler.

Brian getting the tarp/plastic covering molded to the shape of the pond base.

Time to quit for the night. Can't wait to see it completely done. Joe plans to put a fountain running down from the top of it, and fish down in it. Pebbles and maybe some flowers around it.

My sister Julia and I. The only picture without one of us blinking our eyes or with a funny look on our face.

Time with Julia

At my sister Julia's house. Tyler waking Jacob up.
I was just holding my breath to see how Jacob was going to respond. He was fine with it.
My sister Julia and I headed with my 2 boys and her youngest 2 kids (Katie's in this picture)
Jacob brought me a flower and said, "I looked all over the grass and found this flower special for you, mama."
And then in the afternoon he brought me this beautiful daffodil and said, "next time we at Julia's house I give you another flower like this." It was so sweet. I called Brian and told him about it. Someone has been watching his Daddy pretty closely.
My beautiful sister Julia with Tyler
The 3 Pace grandsons: Connor (Julia's youngest), Jacob & Tyler

Tyler vegging in the swing.
Julia playing with Connor.

Katie giving a smart little look. Jacob just loved playing with her. He always hates to leave Aunt Julia and Uncle Joe's because he always has such a fun time down there.

Headed back for Cleveland in the afternoon. Got home around 7. I'm tired of 5 hour road trips with the boys! Glad that this weekend Brian will be home again! Oh I can't wait!
