Dirt cake

Tyler has gotten really good at climbing up the slide and going down all on his own. So far he has not fallen off yet.
Deborah (Brian's other sister) and her husband, Joe and their 5 kids (a boy and 4 girls) stopped on their way to and from an Austin family reunion.
Jacob called me over and wanted me to bring Tyler with me so that he could blow out his birthday candles. So cute! (The mound of dirt is the birthday cake he made for Tyler, and the long sticks poking out are the candles).
So sweet.

Blowing! I think he blew them out??
This afternoon I took the boys and Steven, Nathan, and Catherine out to pick Raineer cherries (my favorite kind). Delicious! This is Jacob and Catherine in the cherry orchard.
The boys cleaned up for the ward party tonight. You can actually see their handsome little faces with all that dirt scrubbed off!
Tyler pretending to be asleep. Could have fooled someone if he would stay still longer than 2 seconds.
The ward party for 24th of July. We had such a good time. It was a potluck dinner, with baseball, sack races, some dancing, and lots of good company. This was Brian's home ward growing up, and coming back to this ward always feels like home to me too...almost everyone knows us and is so welcoming.
The kids getting ready for sack races.

Jacob with Tyler Hawkins. Jacob was a little confused at first that his name was Tyler too.

This morning Lupe and Camilo came over and it was fun to chat with them again.
